I'm currently an engineering student who is need of a laptop. I have a desktop pc that I built a couple of years ago, so any demanding programs like AutoCAD I would use on that. I'm pretty much just looking for a portable, light and nice looking laptop. I've narrowed down my preferences between XPS 13 and the Gram. Is there a clear winner between these two? * **Total budget and country of purchase:** ~600-1200, United States * **Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply.** I prefer a light, long lasting and nice looking laptop. Keyboard would probably be the most important thing for me since I would be using this laptop to type notes etc. * **How important is weight and thinness to you?** Very important. * **Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.** Windows. * **Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.** 13 * **Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.** Maybe Autocad, I own a desktop so I would be able to use the program there. * **If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?** No gaming. * **Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?** Keyboard is very imporant to me. * **Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.** Im between an LG gram or a XPS 13, not sure which though.
